Rumored to have existed before the "101" name itself; The Bongo Brothers formed it's union with S.C. State's marching band in 1963. Since it's inception, ALL cadences have been written by and for this exclusive group of drummers. In addition to implementing unthinkable movements during a drum routine; BBI is also known for it's exemplary use of rudiments, along with a soulful rhythmic style incomparable with any other percussion section known to date. With hundreds of members to it's fame; Bongo Brothers share a unique bond of camaraderie and love whether at SCSU's locality, or within variance from state to state. Being unparalleled to other drummers, it is hard work, dedication, and a respect for traditional values that have kept the Bongo Brothers Incorporated epitomized as percussion playing at it's best for more than 40 unprecedented years.
